What You’ll Need

Taking great photos is simple! All you need is your smartphone (with a decent camera), a well-lit spot—natural daylight works best—and a clean mirror. If you like, grab a friend to help out. Just make sure your hands are clean (or pop on some disposable gloves) before you start.

Step 1: Get Your Mouth Ready

Give your teeth a quick brush and rinse. Take out any removable dentures or appliances, and make sure your lips, teeth, and gums are nice and clean.

Step 2: Snap 6 Photos

We’ll need six photos from different angles. Here’s how:

  1. Front View (Closed Bite): Smile naturally, bite down gently, and take a straight-on photo showing top and bottom teeth.
  2. Front View (Open Mouth): Open wide, say “ahh,” and take another straight-on photo showing the inside of your teeth.
  3. Right Side (Closed Bite): Bite down gently, turn your head slightly left, and snap the right side of your teeth.
  4. Left Side (Closed Bite): Do the same but turn your head slightly right this time.
  5. Upper Teeth (Occlusal View): Tilt your head back, open wide, and take a photo of your top teeth arch. Selfie mode or a helping hand works great here.
  6. Lower Teeth (Occlusal View): Tilt your head down, open wide, and snap the bottom teeth arch.

Handy Tips

  • Use a bright light or flash to keep things clear.

  • Try to avoid shadows in your mouth.

  • Pull your lips back with clean fingers (or even a spoon!) if needed.

  • Take a few shots of each angle and pick the clearest ones.

Step 3: Send Them Over

Once you’ve got your photos, simply send them to us in whichever way is easiest:
